i just beat her every time she tries! Um, not really. She isn’t much of a climber and she knows the tree is fragile (FRA-ILL, in Astrid Meklit speak) so she’s content to look, especially if the lights are on. We have a larger green tree in the family room too and with both, we set them up days before we started putting on ornaments. I wanted them to just be there, in the space before they became even more exciting. I still keep her close, and remembering back a million years, Albert installed a small eye hook in the ceiling when Elliott was little. We ran some filament through it and around the tree so it wasn’t visible, but it also wasn’t going to fall over on Elliott who was definitely more likely to try to climb it.
What a cute pic.
Aw, very cute. And how did you train the little girl to NOT climb the tree?
Love the wonder in their eyes.
